Eagle Eye Golf Products
The Eagle Eye Golf Trainer came from years of watching our youngest son, Austin, play junior and high school golf, then go on to college golf and now into college golf coaching. (Currently, Austin is the assistant men’s golf coach at FGCU.) Along the way, I’ve seen the struggles he and his teammates have had with putting and tried to think of ways their putting could be improved.
As an engineer by trade, I began tinkering with lasers, trying to figure out a better way to check putter aiming.
Other putting gadgets all required attaching bulky lasers or laser-mirror combos to the putter. These attachments significantly changed the look of your putter and added weight that affects your putting.
The Eagle Eye Putting Trainer solves those problems by adding virtually no weight to the putter and the thin mirror does not significantly alter the “look” of your putter. Most golfers don’t even realize a mirror is attached until you look up to check your aim and see the reflected red dots on the putting board.
Not only does the putting trainer provide aiming feedback on short putts, but you can use it for longer putts as well.
Using Mirror Wedges
Mirror wedges are angled mirrors that are attached to opposite ends of the putter face. They are angled (currently at 4°) to offset the putter loft. Thus, if your putter had a loft of 5° and you attached the mirror wedge, the reflected laser beam would return to the board at a 1° angle, still hitting the board, even if putting from a 10 foot distance.

According to Golf Digest, the average golfer uses his putter 41.3% of the time. Clearly, if you are not putting well, your scores will suffer.
